Instant corn upma..


Here is quick recipe for all you foodies out there. A simple option yummy recipe to cook for your hungry tummy. It is instant corn upma to be made in microwave easy and fast and it is a healthier option too. If you are an diet conscious person, then  it is the perfect recipe for you. So here we go,

1 cup semolina
4 tbsp oil
1tsp mustard seeds(sarson)
a few curry leaves
2 green chillies-chopped
1big onion-finely chopped
1/2 cup corn, 1/4 cup chopped beans
2 3/4 cups of water
1 tsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp salt or to taste


1. Mix 3 tbsp oil and suji in a flat glass dish. Spread evenly at the bottom of the dish and microwave for 2 1/2 minutes. Mix again and microwave for another 2 minutes. Remove and immediately mix well. Keep aside.

2. In a separate dish, put 1tbsp oil. Add sarson, curry leaves, green chillies, onion and beans. Microwave for 4 1/2 minutes.

3. Add salt, red chilli powder, water, corn and lemon juice. Gradually add suji, stirring constantly. Microwave covered for 4 minutes. Stir.

4. Remove cover and microwave for 1 1/2 minutes. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
